I used to have a personal site where I posted pictures from family events and my son’s youth football matches. It was fairly boring for most people because all the images were in a password protected area, for obvious reasons.
My boys haven’t played football for over a decade now. The site still exists, albeit just as a holding page at the moment. I could give up the web space, but I do use the associated email so need to keep the domain. I was just going to repurpose that site for this blog, but I found that for the cost of a new domain I could use my existing package. Hence, this site was conceived.
Well, it might have been conceived, but it has been a long gestation. However, it is (to a certain extent) now up and running. I hope that the effort involved in maintaining it is less than that of setting it up.
And out of interest, whilst I have been involved in software for my entire career, I am not a web developer. So, if you have any criticism of the site, please do feed it back to me but don’t necessarily expect any action! I won’t be chasing views. I won’t be looking for a high SEO score. This is purely for my own entertainment and satisfaction.
